A very typical example of companionship is when it’s necessary for someone to accompany the client to a treatment facility either by car or flight. Taking the step to go to treatment takes a tremendous amount of courage and sometimes having someone accompanying the person is what can make or break the individual following through and entering treatment.
There are times when one may be waiting on their insurance or a bed to open in treatment and in the meantime, it is critical to have someone by their side to support them in that limbo period.
Lastly, there are situations when someone is going through a crisis but is not at the point that higher levels of care are needed. We offer temporary 24/7 support whether they are currently in treatment or not.
If there are other scenarios that look different than the ones described, please reach out and we will discuss if it is something we offer. We don’t claim to “do it all”. We remain focused on what we are great at!
If it is not something we are great at we will work as hard as possible to refer you to someone who is a better fit. The client's wellbeing is always our primary concern.
